for candidates
who we are
We help talented IT people continue their careers in the Netherlands. If you are a suitable candidate and we find an employer who wants to take you on board, we will do the rest: arrange your relocation, take care of all paperwork and help you settle down in the Netherlands.
why the Netherlands?
The Netherlands offer a lot of opportunities for skilled IT people to develop their careers. Many financial, logistics and high-tech companies, all running and improving their IT systems, are concentrated here on a relatively small piece of land. After landing here you will be able - if needed - to choose from many job opportunities without a need to relocate.
The quality of life here is one of the highest in the world: clean air, tap water that you can drink, public transport that runs on schedule (most of the time), subsidized education and quality health services. For your vacation and weekend destinations, all of Europe is within a reach - Berlin is 700 km from Amsterdam and Paris is just 550 km.
Being a highly skilled migrant in the Netherlands gives you a number of privileges. Your spouse is allowed start working from the day one. You will pay substantially lower taxes than native Dutch: the taxes here are quite high, but as a highly skilled migrant you'll be eligible for the so-called "30% ruling" that will yield you a net income tax of slightly above 20%. More on the Highly Skilled Migrants program in the Netherlands.
The Netherlands is the only country in mainland Europe where you can manage to live and work just speaking English (though learning Dutch definitely helps to open more career possibilities).
Unlike some other EU countries, the Netherlands have very clear rules regarding upgrading the status of work migrants. After working here for three years, your residence status is no longer dependent on your employer. This means that you may work for an employer without a work permit or knowledge migrant status. After five years, you are eligible to apply for either permanent residence or Dutch nationality.
do I qualify?
Few words about language skills. We often receive quite outstanding CVs, but we have to reject these candidates immediately - they specify their English skills as 'can read technical literature'. While it is, undoubtfully, useful skill as such, it is not enough to work in the Netherlands. Most probably you will be working in a mixed environment with a lot of different nationalities - but no Russians - around, and all communication - emails, meetings, documentation - is being done in English. It means to qualify for an IT job in the Netherlands, your written and spoken English must be just good enough. You can speak and understand spoken English with confidence, in person and over the phone, and you are able to write documentation and emails without resorting to a dictionary too often. So if your English is not good enough, it is definitely worth investing in improving it, for instance, by taking an intensive course for 1-2 months.
Taking into account current state of IT job market in the Netherlands, we're primary interested in people with one or more of the following skills:
If your skills are not on the list but you are sure these are in demand - keep reading.
You must have five years or more of commercial experience and be able to back it up with at least two references from your former managers and/or colleagues.
And please remember what was just said about the importance of your English skills.
how does it work?
If you want to try to find job in the Netherlands and you are confident that you qualify for it, send us your CV. We will call you back to verify your English skills and ask a few questions to understand your intentions better.
Then we will try to find matching positions from one or more employers, and if we succeed, you will be invited for an interview in the Netherlands.
If this interview has a positive outcome, you will be offered a contract.
After you have signed the contract, it takes about one month to round up all the legal procedures, and then you can come to the Netherlands.
We will help you to relocate, find housing and arrange many things you need to live in the Netherlands.
